You make a good point; obviously if other companies can get a paycheque out in two weeks, why can't the Reserves.

There have been advances in the past few years though; such as being paid every two weeks rather than once a month, and receiving pay for the previous two weeks work rather than from two pay periods previous. Also,the rates of pay have gone up tremendously.

I'd be interested in knowing if there is a real reason for the first-cheque delay or not.
